Job description

ABOUT THE JOB:

You will join the Trade Support Unit within the Operations department, which supports traders, structurers, internal clients, and external counterparties in managing their activities, within a dynamic and international environment.

You will work within the Exotics Middle Office (Complex Structured Products). More specifically, you will join the Middle Office Events team, which is responsible for managing and monitoring exotic product events.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Modeling complex derivatives transactions in Front Office systems in order to understand the technical nature of the instruments handled by the team
  • Developing a strong understanding of the team's activity, particularly the structure of structured products sold to clients
  • Managing product lifecycle events (coupons, maturities, recalls, etc.) as part of a progressive onboarding into the team's responsibilities
  • Reviewing and understanding valuation, pricing, and risk analysis
  • Drafting functional specifications as part of project work
  • Participating in crossfunctional projects or developments within the scope
  • Developing Python or VBA scripts as part of these projects
  • Providing support to the Exotic Trading desk
  • Acting as an interface between Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office teams, and serving as a key point of contact for other internal stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (Bac 5 equivalent) with a specialization in Finance or Financial Markets
  • Ideally a first experience in these fields (internship, VIE, or permanent role)
  • Operational level of English
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA
  • Knowledge of Python is a strong asset
  • High level of attention to detail and strong motivation
  • Good knowledge of financial instruments
  • French and English required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, as the role involves regular collaboration with colleagues and partners based in the United States
