Job description

Description
A MacAllister CAT Rental EPG Field Technician would perform maintenance and repair on Rental Power Generators, Air Compressors and HVAC .
Responsibilities:
As a Rental EPG Field Technician your responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Our Kalamazoo location will report to Galesburg
  • Diagnose problems with generators, air compressors and HVAC
  • Perform all repairs associated with the diagnosis that is possible out in the field
  • Locate and order parts as required. On occasion, this may require you to coordinate with parts-drivers to get the parts you need to your work site
  • Write up detailed service reports for both internal and external requirements
  • Maintain own equipment
  • Build productive customer relationships to benefit all involved

Qualifications
To qualify, you should have:
  • Proven track record of ability to perform and fix generators, air compressors and HVAC in a timely manner to the quality and standard required
  • Strong understanding of electrical components such as switch gears and automatic transfer switches and HVAC equipment
  • The ability to self motivate and self manage time
  • A record of promptness to get to and from work on time
  • Strong ability to communicate and listen, understanding customer needs and performing the work necessary
  • Strong writing skills to complete detailed service reports
  • A current DOT Medical Card
  • A current CDL A
