Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital team in Santa Maria, CA as a Cath Lab Tech and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while experiencing a new location. Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures. Operate advanced medical equipment to capture images and data of the heart and blood vessels.


Minimum Qualifications

  • ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or equivalent credential.
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) from CCI preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Cath Lab hospital setting. Travel experience preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Fluoroscopy credential required.
  • Cerner charting system experience required.
  • Experience with Cath Lab/IR/EP procedures and equipment, including Xper imaging, Phillips telemetry, and ventilator support.
  • Ability to float between IR, Cath Lab, and EP Lab.
  • EP lab experience preferred.


Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT or RCIS as noted above if not already listed as primary.
  • Additional experience with cardiac devices (ICD, pacemaker), ablations, peripheral interventions, and interventional radiology cases.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: five 8-hour shifts per week; self-scheduling hours typically 7:00am–3:30pm.
  • Orientation: approximately one week floor-specific orientation; 12 orientation hours noted.
  • Call requirement: weekend and after-hours call required. Weekend call typically every other weekend; weekend call window 3:30pm Friday to 7:00am Monday. Evening weekday call and response time 30 minutes.
  • Must be willing to float to IR, Cath Lab, and EP Lab.
  • Charge nurse/supervisor on call after hours.
  • Work environment includes 3 suites/labs and average 8–12 cases per day.
