Environmental Services PT

Valley Surgery Center in Modesto, CA is seeking a motivated Environmental Services member to join our team. Valley Surgery Center  is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for cleaning and ensuring the unit is well stocked and maintained.

Job Duties:

  • Gathers all trash and dirty linen and disposes of in proper receptacle
  • Wipes the stretchers, furniture and equipment with germicidal solution
  • Applies clean linen to the stretchers/beds
  • Restocks supplies as needed in all areas as needed
  • Wipes the tables, furniture, equipment, etc.,  with germicidal solution
  • Mops floors with germicidal solution
  • Terminally cleans the ORs when appropriate
  • Participates as a team member in support of areas
  • Organizes housekeeping activities efficiently and effectively
  • Considers cost containment by using supplies economically
  • Assists with supply and equipment inventories to maintain stock level and availability
  • Maintains patients privacy and dignity and respects patients rights
  • Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patients, manager and physicians
  • Gathers and sets up all needed equipment and supplies before patient arrives to the unit
  • Demonstrates skill in the use of various equipment and makes sure it is in working order
  • Every day set up the departments for the next day before leaving for the day
  • Restock linens and IV fluids in the warmer on a daily basis as needed
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective, and cost conscious manner, complying with all USPIs policies, procedures and regulations.

Hourly Wage: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour
