Job description

TFG is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in the Huntsville, AL area.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing foodservice equipment at customer sites. You’ll ensure equipment operates at optimal efficiency, address customer concerns through clear communication, and maintain high service standards. Technicians will manage their assigned territories, perform timely repairs, and proactively address potential equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

Service Technicians are responsible for installs/repairs, upkeep, and troubleshooting of restaurant kitchen equipment sold and serviced by TFG.

  • Completes system installations by fabricating, mounting, and connecting various components such as: compressors, motors, control panels, gauges, and other related components to ensure power connections are secure and equipment is operationally sound.
  • Responsible for assigned customers and territories, as well as administrative duties pertaining to customer calls, expense reports, time sheets, and tracking of necessary preventative maintenance and requests made by customers.
  • Identifies malfunctions by testing, repairing, or replacing equipment/parts.
  • Presents and maintains a professional image.
  • Properly documents repairs and actions by completing equipment records.
  • Builds and fosters strong relationships with customers each visit.
  • Continues to learn on the job through participation in educational opportunities and training.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
