A Brief Overview
Services Technicians perform a wide range of duties internally to ensure the ongoing operation of the organization. Duties can range between sanitation, laundry, and nutritional services. This position cleans patient rooms, restrooms, and offices throughout the health center. Maintains floors and corridors.
Experience Qualifications
  • Experience in a service industry. Preferred
  • Experience working in a hospital. Preferred

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. (Required proficiency)
  • Able to do repetitive motions. (Required proficiency)
  • Understands and shows respect for patient's rights, including confidentiality of patient information. (Required proficiency)
  • Adheres to all Stormont Vail polices and procedures. Follows dress code and attendance policies. (Required proficiency)

What you will do
  • Performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, shared spaces, and/or floors. This may include cleaning isolation rooms.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment.
  • Handles hazardous waste properly.
  • Handles, stores, and dilutes chemicals as necessary.
  • Performs area/room set up and dismantling.

Travel Requirements
  • 20% Delivery and pick-up; dependent upon department need.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
