Shifts Available: Nights

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8-hour - 3:30pm to 12:00am 

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician, also referred to as a EVS Tech or Hospital Housekeeper.  The EVS Tech ensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection. The EVS Tech will handle waste disposal, restock supplies, maintain floors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs.  

Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections 
  • Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols 
  • Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas 
  • Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals 
  • Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices 
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently 
Qualifications
  • One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
