PROJECT MANAGER KOVALSKY CARR DIVISION Position Summary

Engage with our customer base to fulfill their needs by providing project management support services for all areas of the Gear and Lighting departments. This person will contribute to both departmental missions, delivering exceptional service to customers while maintaining the highest standards for courtesy, knowledge, and ethics.

Position Responsibilities
  • Acting as technical resource for GEAR, lighting, and electrical products and projects.
  • Quote jobs and manage projects through order point.
  • Sell to customers over the telephone and digitally, discussing with them their specific requirements, product information, pricing, and timeframes for products, projects, and services.
  • Communicate to the customer technical information received from within the company or manufacturer. Including long lead times or ship delays.
  • Arrange with vendors to source materials and prices needed by the customer that are not common stock.
  • Proactively expedite jobs daily utilizing SQD's MYSE system and Job Management.
    • Update customers.
    • Update Gear and Lighting salespeople as appropriate.
  • Solve customer problems including but not limited to project issues, lost shipments, damaged items, returns, emergency needs, and billing issues.
  • Continuous learning of product and industry knowledge enabling better communication and greater sales with the customer.
  • Proactively alert customers of sales and special promotions to generate additional sales.
  • Maintain literature for customer and salespeople review.
  • Work closely with all internal departments, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer.
  • Perform other duties as obvious or assigned.

  • Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Your personal safety is your responsibility.
  • Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or is witnessed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical distribution, project management, inside sales, quotations, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution products, including switchgear, lighting, and power distribution equipment preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn ERP, CRM, and manufacturer project management systems.
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
