Job description

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Environmental Technician, based in Newport News, VA area with some work-from-home flexibility. The Environmental Technician will be responsible for assisting with environmental services such as waste management, soil remediation, hazardous and non hazardous waste disposal. Day-to-day tasks include conducting on-site projects, sampling activities, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while maintaining clear communication with the team and clients.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with Environmental Services and containerized waste and bulk waste removal
  • Understanding of Groundwater and Soil assessment and monitoring
  • Strong Communication skills for interaction with customers, team members, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Familiarity with applicable environmental laws and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field preferred
  • Experience working in hazardous or non-hazardous waste management would be an advantage
