The PMO team can work remotely from Baton Rouge, LA, or follow a hybrid schedule in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. For the right candidate, this position may be remote, provided the individual resides in a state where we currently operate, with low to moderate travel to our headquarters locations.
As a Project Manager at Republic Finance you will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for ensuring project objectives are met, managing resources effectively, and encouraging strong cross-functional collaboration. We look for organized individuals that are self-starters, skilled in critical thinking, building project plans, and guiding large project teams to delivery of successful initiatives on time and under budget. Job responsibilities are as follows:
  • Lead projects from initiation to closure, including but not limited to, working with project leadership to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, developing, revising, and maintaining complex project plans, tracking tasks, timelines, and resource allocations and ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Deliver clear, consistent, and effective verbal and written communication to project teams, project partners and Project Management Office leadership. Foster and maintain positive relationships within the project team and other departments.
  • Document and escalate project risks. Assist with identifying, preventing, and mitigating risks throughout the project to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Promote cross-team collaboration to assist project team members in completing tasks and resolving conflicts or issues that arise throughout the project life cycle.
  • Leverage Project Management Office (PMO) tools, templates, and standardized project processes. Actively participate in PMO process improvement reviews and special assignments.
  • Assist Senior Project Managers or Senior Program Managers on complex enterprise projects, special projects or PMO initiatives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years in a project coordinator or project management role.
  • Limited travel if located in Baton Rouge, LA or Plano, TX, or Charlotte, NC; travel up to 25% if located elsewhere.
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools and software.
  • Experience leading and completing projects according to scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Experience with scheduling, facilitating, and documenting collaborative small and large group meetings.
  • Experience with preparing for and presenting to project teams and partners.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years in a project management role including experience in the Consumer Lending industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, other project management tools, program and resource management applications.
  • Working understanding of project management disciplines: Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.
