Job description

CRB Geological & Environmental Services is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist / Environmental Project Manager to join our growing team in Miami. Competitive Salary ($80,000 - $100,000) + Benefits.

This position is ideal for an environmental professional with 3–6 years of consulting experience who enjoys both technical field work and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ASTM E1527-21 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for commercial real estate transactions.
  • Coordinate and support Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and environmental investigations.
  • Conduct environmental field work, including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, monitoring well gauging and sampling, soil boring oversight, and site reconnaissance.
  • Prepare field documentation, interpret laboratory analytical data, and develop technically defensible reports.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, drilling contractors, laboratories, and field personnel.
  • Manage environmental consulting projects, including schedules, budgets, client communication, and project deliverables.
  • Support remediation, corrective action, and regulatory compliance projects.
  • Travel to project sites throughout Florida and occasionally throughout the Southeast as project needs require.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Considerable experience performing commercial Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Experience conducting groundwater sampling, soil sampling, and other environmental field investigations.
  • Intimate working knowledge of ASTM E1527-21 and environmental due diligence standards.
  • Considerable experience supporting or managing Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Strong technical writing, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with remediation or corrective action projects.
  • Experience with underground storage tanks (USTs), contaminated site investigations, or brownfield redevelopment.
  • Experience with indoor air quality, asbestos, mold, or industrial hygiene assessments.
