Duties Major Duties: This is not an all-inclusive list This position is located within an Air National Guard unit. Its primary purpose is to serve as the focal point, local authority and expert source for information in providing a wide variety of orderly room/administrative support for the organization. These support responsibilities are comprised of the following type of duties: As a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (TITLE 32), GS-0303-7, you will: * Supports the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. * Provides customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures. * Monitors personnel records and supports preparation of routine personnel actions with guidance from higher graded HR Specialist. * Assists with maintaining personnel files and electronic records in accordance with Air Force, Air National Guard, and local directives. * Participates in tracking training requirements for assigned organization and helps coordinate developmental opportunities. * Assists commanders, supervisors, and employees in understanding personnel policies and procedures. * Collects, compiles, and organizes data for reports and briefings. * Assists in maintaining accuracy of personnel records and databases, in accordance with established guidelines. * Supports the workflow and assists with assignments among administrative personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks. * Assists higher graded specialists in areas critical to unit operations, ensuring adherence to Air Force policies. * Supports preparation and dissemination of personnel documents and orders using automated systems. * Provides basic training and guidance on Defense Travel System (DTS) processes and supports official mail and government purchase card activities. * Personnel: Assists with processing and managing personnel records, evaluations, and official correspondence. * Provides routine policy information and customer support. * Helps ensure personnel data integrity and compliance with directives. * Supports deployment readiness by maintaining deployment documentation and coordinating with relevant personnel offices. * Assists in tracking deployment status and supports redeployment processing. * Assists in planning and coordinating unit training events, ensuring documentation and schedules meet requirements. * Supports administration of special programs such as Government Purchase Card, Defense Travel System, Unit Drug Demand Reduction, Security, and Unit Recognition. * Monitors compliance and provides routine advisory support. * Serves as a point of contact for unit personnel and leadership regarding personnel management and administrative support. * Assists in resolving routine personnel issues by coordinating with the Force Support Squadron and other agencies. * Supports quality control of personnel documentation and helps maintain personnel accountability systems including Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (AFPAAS). * Performs additional duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS : Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Rank: Enlisted Maximum Rank: TSgt Compatible Military Assignments: 3F0X1 * Military Membership in the Utah National Guard is required. * Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. * Pending analysis, you may be required to complete a new 1-year probationary period when moved to this position IAW CNGBI 1400.25. * For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license. * Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. * Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire. * Soldiers who accept a technician position may be terminated from the Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). * Potential for Incentive Pay. * Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance. * Must be able to obtain the required certifications, as applicable. List of any Certificates (FM, Contracting) * Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. * May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments. * Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. * The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory. * This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position Qualifications *Your resume must reflect in detail how the duties and responsibilities under each position you have held with each employer meets the below listed general and specialized experience required for the position. **Must include beginning and ending dates of employment stated as MM/YYYY; and total hours worked per week in order to determine part time vs. full time credit. Minimum Requirements: E xperience which indicates the candidate performed progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Specialized Experience: Must haveknowledge of personnel management policies, administrative procedures, and automated systems such as Defense Travel System (DTS)? Do you understand Air Force directives and local policies to provide accurate guidance and support. Education Not applicable for this position. Additional information If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency ( ). MILITARY MEMBERS WITH BONUSES: Upon acceptance of a military technician position military members who are currently receiving a military Reenlistment/Extension Bonus (REB) or GI Bill-SR Kicker may lose incentive eligibility and may be subject to termination or suspension of incentive (includes indefinite and temporary technicians on assignment for more than 180 days in any continuous 12-month period).
