THE OPPORTUNITY The Sales Planning team at MiQ partners directly with our Sales team to build out programmatic advertising campaign proposals and ultimately help to drive revenue. The role calls for a motivated and outgoing self-starter who takes a proactive approach to their work and is always looking out for the best interest of their clients.
Sales Planners become experts on MiQ's omnichannel advertising products in order to make informed strategic recommendations to help our clients reach their campaign objectives. This role provides a growth opportunity to learn about various facets of the advertising industry including CTV, YouTube, Online Video, Mobile, DOOH, Retail Media, and new innovative formats.
This role is an essential piece of the MiQ team structure with a high level of cross functional project management involved. The Sales Planning team communicates with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are on task and meeting the needs of our clients and partners.
What You'll Be Doing As a Sales Planner at MiQ, technical ability and industry knowledge play a large role in your day-to-day responsibilities. In this role you will be accountable for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Delivery

Craft and deliver accurate and thorough proposals within the RFP deadline. Build media plans in Excel and corresponding proposal materials in Google Slides.

  • Project Management

Project manage RFPs that are being requested for their regions. Keep RFPs on track by defining clear goals, managing deadlines, and communicating progress to everyone involved.

  • Internal Collaboration & Communication

Partner with Sales, Trading, Account Management, Product, and Sales Engineering teams effectively.
Crisp and clear communication to external partners/clients or internal stakeholders; flexing communication style to persuade others and influence positive outcomes
Create high-quality deliverables that successfully showcase product expertise and strategic storytelling.

  • Innovation

Strategize with Sales Leads in pre-sale periods to grow and develop existing client business and win net new business
Master MiQ's core product suite while developing deep-rooted expertise in a designation specialism across a Product or Vertical to serve as a primary consultant for both the larger Sales Planning team and across internal stakeholders.
Act with curiosity. Find new and better ways of working, then apply or implement solutions to unarticulated needs, new or existing market requirements. Open to receiving and trying new ideas, processes or ways of working.
What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of advertising technology and/or media planning experience
  • Experience with Programmatic Advertising is preferred.
  • Adept understanding of the advertising industry at large and ability to convey that knowledge to others
  • Sound understanding of the digital programmatic ecosystem and the vendor agency-advertiser dynamic

Pay Transparency For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $60,000- $75,000. This range may vary for positions outside of New York as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
