Operations Manager

Southwestern Ohio | Precision CNC Manufacturing | Confidential Search

Snyder Executive Search is conducting a confidential search for an Operations Manager in Southwestern Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Production Leader who is ready to step into full site leadership.

Our client is a premium, custom manufacturer of precision machined components known throughout its industry as a leader in superior products, craftsmanship, and quality. This is a company where details matter, customers expect excellence, and the manufacturing floor has to perform at a high level every day.

This role will lead the full plant operation, including CNC machining, grinding, powder coating, assembly, quality, maintenance, and shipping/receiving. The successful candidate will be a hands-on manufacturing leader who can drive daily execution, improve plant performance, develop people, and maintain the high standards expected in a premium product environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and improving all aspects of plant operations, including:

  • Leading daily operations across CNC machining, grinding, powder coating, assembly, quality, maintenance, and shipping/receiving
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, compliant facility, including OSHA, environmental, and housekeeping standards
  • Executing production schedules to meet customer demand
  • Updating and managing the schedule daily
  • Ensuring strong utilization of CNC equipment, tooling, fixtures, labor, and plant resources
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, scrap reduction, downtime reduction, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
  • Coordinating new product introductions, custom orders, and special programs with Engineering and Sales
  • Building a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, urgency, and ownership
  • Ensuring compliance with customer, internal, and regulatory requirements
  • Managing staffing, hiring, development, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary action

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a CNC manufacturing or precision machining environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, fixtures, workflow, scheduling, and labor utilization
  • Exposure to grinding, coatings, and powder coating preferred
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop manufacturing teams
  • Strong execution skills with the ability to turn priorities into results on the plant floor
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable owning the outcome
  • Strong initiative and a hands-on leadership style

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is a chance to step into a visible leadership role with a highly respected manufacturer that competes on quality, precision, customization, and reputation, not commodity volume. The company needs a leader who can tighten execution, improve flow, develop the team, and protect the craftsmanship that has made them an industry leader.
