Job description

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
Qualifications:To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.
Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
OR
Experience:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating correctional program operations to assess effectiveness and compliance with federal legislation requirements, to include conducting comprehensive program assessments, interpreting policy and legislative mandates, preparing detailed analytical reports with recommendations, and collaborating with facility administrators and program coordinators to implement program improvements aligned with recidivism reduction objectives.
  • Experience conducting organizational studies and performance analysis related to reentry services, evidence-based recidivism reduction programming, or productive activities within a correctional or criminal justice setting, to include collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, developing performance metrics and dashboards, identifying operational gaps and inefficiencies, and presenting findings to senior management with recommendations for program enhancement and resource allocation.
  • Experience coordinating program implementation efforts and providing technical assistance to stakeholders regarding federal program requirements and operational procedures, to include developing standard operating procedures, conducting reviews and compliance assessments, facilitating training sessions for staff on program standards, maintaining program documentation and records, and serving as a liaison between administrators and locations to ensure consistent program delivery.
