Volt is immediately hiring an Operations Support Specialist in Newport, Delaware 19804.
As an Operations Support Specialist, you will:
Responsibilities:
  • Perform column loading and assembly tasks in a clean, lab-like production environment
  • Accurately measure and dispense solvents/chemicals into columns using automated machinery
  • Operate and monitor computer-controlled equipment to ensure proper process execution
  • Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail during all tasks
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Participate in safety training and comply with all regulatory standards

This is a full-time contract opportunity.
Shift time: 1st Shift; Mon - Thru, 4:40 am - 3:10 pm (10 Hr/Day)
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 1-3 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a similar production environment
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly or production processes
  • Comfortable handling chemicals and working in a controlled lab setting
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate automated systems
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Ability to follow structured processes and safety protocols

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Work Environment
  • Laboratory-style production setting (not a typical warehouse)
  • Exposure to chemicals/solvents (comprehensive safety training and PPE provided)
  • Multiple workstations with specialized processes and equipment

This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily.
Pay range:? $ 21.00 to $ 23.54 per hour
