Launch your career in the high-growth industrial services sector with INSERV. We are seeking a motivated Industrial Environmental Technician I to join our field operations team. This is a premier entry-level opportunity for a hardworking individual ready to master industrial cleaning, environmental remediation, and emergency spill response.
If you enjoy rigorous, hands-on work and want to support the safety and efficiency of regional infrastructure, this is your starting point.
As an Environmental Technician, you will be on the front lines of industrial maintenance and environmental compliance. You will work alongside experienced supervisors to execute specialized cleaning projects within manufacturing plants, refineries, and utility sites.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Safety: Follow strict OSHA guidelines and utilize specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a zero-incident workspace.

Why Build Your Career with INSERV?
  • Paid Technical Training: No prior experience? No problem. We provide foundational training in HAZWOPER (40-Hour), confined space entry, and specialized industrial tool operation.
  • Defined Career Path: We prioritize internal promotion. This role is a stepping stone to becoming a Crew Lead, Project Manager, or a highly certified Technical Specialist.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Skip the desk. You'll gain experience across diverse industrial settings, ensuring no two workdays are ever the same.
  • Industry-Leading Safety: At INSERV, safety is our culture. We invest heavily in the highest-grade equipment and ongoing safety certifications to protect our most valuable asset: You.

What You Bring to the Team:
  • Work Ethic: A "safety-first" mindset and the physical stamina for outdoor, labor-intensive work in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliability: A valid driver's license and a dependable track record of attendance.
  • Adaptability: The ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations for emergency response.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: A basic comfort level with hand tools and machinery (experience with heavy equipment or CDL is a plus, but not required)

Responsibilities
The Role: What You'll Do
• Support industrial cleaning and remediation projects through power washing, tank cleaning, and material movement.
• Learn to operate forklifts, mini-excavators, and mini-skid-steers under expert supervision.
• Assist in collecting soil and waste samples and support Emergency Response teams during spills or environmental incidents.
• Set up, decontaminate, and maintain specialized field tools and PPE.
• Use mobile devices and our CRM tool to accurately record site activities and safety checks.
Qualifications
What You Bring (Qualifications)
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred Certifications: OSHA 10 Construction; NIMS ICS 100/700 and AEP Safety Certification.
• * Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Comfortable working in diverse weather conditions and difficult terrains.
• Ability to wear Class C protective equipment and a half-face respirator.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and a comfort level with mobile technology for reporting.
Preferred Competencies
• A proactive mindset for identifying hazards and a strong commitment to OSHA standards.
