RESPONSIBILITIES

-Own and manage all site environmental compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EPA, RCRA, Clean Air Act Title V, wastewater/pretreatment requirements).

-Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, WIDNR) and lead environmental audits, inspections, and reporting activities.

-Prepare, review, and submit all environmental permits, regulatory reports, and compliance documentation on time and with accuracy.

-Manage hazardous waste programs, including Large Quantity Generator (LQG) requirements, recordkeeping, and annual reporting.

-Coordinate environmental monitoring, sampling, testing, and data analysis; interpret results and recommend corrective actions or improvements.

-Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis related to environmental events; implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including waste minimization and environmental performance enhancements.

-Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure environmental requirements are integrated into plant operations and projects.

-Develop and deliver environmental training to employees to ensure awareness, compliance, and safe work practices.

-Interface with contractors, consultants, auditors, and vendors to support environmental programs and projects.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific field strongly preferred
- 5+ years of environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with key regulatory programs such as PSM, RMP, hazardous waste (RCRA), and air/water permitting.
- Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders (regulators, auditors, contractors).
- Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
