Advising master's and doctoral students is also expected. The ability to develop interdisciplinary collaborative interactions both within and outside UAB, involving partnerships with the local and regional businesses including (but not limited to) aerospace, automotive, bioscience, pharmaceutical, chemical, forest products, metal manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, and food products industries will be highly regarded.
Preference will be given to those at the rank of Associate Professor with current extramural funding support. Preference will be given to those with demonstrable faculty, staff, and student management and leadership skills and experience. However, all qualified candidates will receive full consideration and are strongly encouraged to apply. The expectation for anyone accepting this position is that they will work in person in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences in the SOPH at UAB.
