Job Description

As an EHS Specialist, you are responsible for the maintenance and compliance of the Rockwell Automation Environmental, Safety and Health programs, as well as facilities support. In this role, you provide effective safety and environmental solutions that meet Rockwell corporate standards and regulatory requirements, while implementing processes that establish compliance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you establish and deploy tools and processes that enable the consistent application of Rockwell EHS global policies, programs, and systems.

You will report to the Facilities Manager and work onsite at our facility in Chelmsford, MA.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Complete and update Electrical Test Assessments for all test station/equipment.
  • Develop written electrical safe work practices for electrical test areas.
  • Monitor hazardous waste storage, removal vendors and assist in consolidating hazardous wastes.
  • Coordinate chemical requisition process and maintain a chemical inventory.
  • Oversee contractor safety management including conducting pre-job risk assessment.
  • Perform regular safety inspections individually and with support of lab captains.
  • Recommend corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.
  • Maintain a system for reporting, monitoring and correcting safety hazards.
  • Make periodic or special inspections of the facility to determine repair work necessary.
  • Perform facilities support duties such as light furniture moving, simple maintenance projects, and supporting Facilities Manager with coordination of external resources for maintenance work.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • 2+ years of environmental, health, safety and facilities work experience.
  • Experience working in an engineering work site.
  • Experience with electrical related safety.
  • Professional EHS certification.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to influence and coach all levels of the organization to ensure effective EHS performance.
