Job Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Specialist (Hazardous Material) to join our team. You will manage the end-to-end logistical processing of hazardous materials, including receiving, issuing, and preparing shipments, in strict adherence to military regulations and occupational safety standards. Additionally, you will leverage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other government databases to meticulously track and execute all designated requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Operations
    • Executing the physical and administrative tasks required to safely receive, issue, and prepare hazardous materials for outbound shipment and transport.
    • Maintaining the continuous capability to process dangerous goods efficiently while mitigating safety risks within the supply chain.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Certification
    • Successfully completing and maintaining critical occupational and defense-specific training, including OSHA compliance and Hazardous Materials Preparer Certification, prior to full performance (as outlined in TE 4.1).
    • Ensuring all operations strictly comply with the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) Part II (Cargo Movement), DLAR 4145.3 (Preparing Hazardous Material for Military Air Shipment), and DLAI 1307 (HAZMAT Training for Packaging and Transportation Personnel).
  • Government Systems Utilization
    • Operating the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other specified Government Data Systems to document, track, and process material movements.
    • Utilizing these designated technological platforms as the primary mechanisms to fulfill and validate the operational requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • Any related certifications
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • A current Secret clearance is highly desired.
