You will collaborate with exceptionally talented teams to successfully implement environmental programs that build the future of our operations.Key Responsibilities
  • Support federal and New York State environmental permits, renewals, modifications, and agency submissions.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations covering wetlands, streams, stormwater, air, wastewater, hazardous waste, spill prevention, and protected species.
  • Conduct field inspections, document conditions, lead all aspects of corrective actions, and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
  • Lead support activities related to SWPPP implementation, stormwater inspections, erosion and sediment control, and construction BMPs.
  • Partner with engineering, construction, facilities, legal, sustainability, and EHS teams to manage environmental risks.
  • Support incident investigations, spill reporting, corrective actions, and ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Support ISO 14001 environmental management programs.
  • Apply AI tools to improve administrative efficiency and data collection.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of environmental permitting, compliance, or construction-related experience.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations such as Clean Water Act, SPDES permitting, wetlands permitting, stormwater regulations, NEPA, SEQR, and related programs.
  • Comfortable working in the field at active construction sites and collaborating across multiple collaborator groups.
  • Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help developed efficient workflow.
Preferred Experience
  • NYSDEC stormwater compliance and construction general permit experience.
  • Experience in SWPPP application, erosion and sediment control, and environmental inspection.
  • Experience working with agencies such as NYSDEC, USACE, EPA, USFWS, SHPO, municipalities, or MS4 programs.
  • Large-scale construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial, or utility project experience.
  • Certifications such as EIT, CPESC, NYSDEC Qualified Inspector, or HAZWOPER

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$70,000.00 - $142,000.00 a year
