Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Project Environmental/Transaction Advisory Professional to join its rapidly growing national practice This individual will serve a key function in providing site exploration activities including, but not limited to EHS transaction advisory due diligence within the merger and acquisition (M&A) space; contaminated site investigation and remediation work; soil and groundwater sampling; vapor intrusion investigation, processing, and evaluation; and report preparation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with top industry leadership on a complex and diverse portfolio of environmental projects in a continuous learning environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Field work is required;
  • Conduct EHS Due Diligence and deal support for a variety of legal, financial, and industrial clients;
  • Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting and managing samples, performing field tests, and collecting and recording field data;
  • Perform air, soil, gas, groundwater sampling and remediation of contaminated properties;
  • Prepare and manage standard logs and field forms documenting field investigations (including drilling logs, field investigation forms, and chain of custody logs) and remedial activities (including air monitoring data and daily reports and maps);
  • Observe remediation and construction activities and monitor conformance with construction documents, remedial work plans, and health and safety plans;
  • Assist clients with post-merger integration and compliance;
  • Identify and communicate with supervisor on any problems encountered on project sites and implement solutions to both routine and complex field problems and accurately documents results;
  • Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches;
  • Assist with report preparation; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Science, or Sustainability;
  • 5+ years of environmental consulting experience;
  • Experience within the M&A environmental due diligence;
  • Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn;
  • Strong report writing skills;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, data management, and judgment capabilities;
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
  • Availability to work overtime as needed;
  • Possess reliable transportation access to remote job site locations; and
  • Flexibility to allow for periodic travel.
