Environmental Engineering Intern - Summer 2027
Location: Regional Michigan Offices
Employment Type: Full-Time Internship
For over 70 years Fishbeck has been building. As a 100% employee-owned firm, every team member has a stake in what we build togetherโ€”our work, our reputation, and our future. Now we need to add an Environmental Intern to help us keep building.
Working with our Environmental team, you will collect and assess water samples and assist in environmental plan development.
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Collect and assess stormwater samples and environmental data.
  • Support the development of environmental plans (SPCCs, PIPPs, HWCPs, SWPPPs).
  • Assist with permits, applications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists on consulting projects.
  • Participate in site visits and fieldwork to gather real-world experience.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related program.
  • Curious, analytical mindset with a passion for environmental work.
  • Comfortable working independently and asking questions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Previous field or lab experience is a plus.
