Join Aprio's Tax Operations team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities.  Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Tax Administration Manager to join their dynamic team. 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead, support and coach tax administrator team
  • Standardize administrative operations to ensure consistency across Tax practice
  • Provide day-to-day guidance on workflow, deadlines, prioritization, and partner support expectations
  • Troubleshoot, address and resolve escalated issues
  • Monitor administrative capacity, coverage, and workload trends; proactively identify gaps and implement coverage solutions
  • Onboard administrative new hires in coordination with HR, Tax Operations, and local leadership,
  • Build and deliver ongoing training sessions and refreshers
  • Work with Tax partners  and leaders to align administrative support
  • Prepare performance review documentation and feedback summaries alongside partners and leaders
  • Mentor tax administrators to work together on goals, development plans, and performance improvement needs.
  • Integrate administrators from newly merged offices, including onboarding into firm systems and workflows, data transition support, and assessment of training/readiness gaps.
  • Travel to firm offices as needed to support onboarding, training, integration, and operational alignment
  • Drive process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and opportunities to enhance administrative workflows
  • Document best practices, procedures, and scalable processes.
  • Collaborate with Tax Operations leadership on centralized support models, standardization initiatives, and firmwide operational excellence efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in tax administration or professional services operation
  • Strong understanding of tax workflows, deadlines, and administrative support models
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and support teams across multiple locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce concise, essential updates for broad audiences
  • Comfortable navigating change, growth, and complex organizational structures
  • Strong process design, continuous improvement, and automation mindset.
  • Comfort partnering cross-functionally (operations, technology, and practice leadership) to deliver outcomes.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
