What is an environment summer?

Environment Summer jobs are temporary positions typically available during the summer months that focus on environmental protection, conservation, research, and education. These jobs can include roles such as field research assistants, park rangers, camp counselors, environmental educators, or positions with non-profits focused on sustainability. They often provide hands-on experience in natural settings, giving participants the chance to contribute to environmental causes and gain valuable skills for future careers in the field. Such roles are ideal for students or recent graduates interested in environmental science, biology, ecology, or related areas.

In an Environment Summer role, you can typically expect to assist with field data collection, environmental monitoring, and research projects. Depending on the organization, you may participate in habitat restoration, water or soil sampling, wildlife surveys, or community outreach events.
