Quanex is looking for a Demand Planner to join our Irving, TX office.
The Demand Planner develops and maintains sales forecasts for assigned products by analyzing demand trends and collaborating with Sales, Customers, and Product Management. Leads forecast reviews, tracks forecast accuracy, and supports new product launches and product phase-outs. Partners with Master Planners to align demand forecasts with production capacity and inventory objectives

What Success Looks Like:
  • Manages the forecast for a set of products.
  • Updates the forecast tool with the latest information for demand.
  • Communicates demand information across plants for complete visibility of volume and metrics.
  • Coordinates requests for changes to the forecast, run forecast models to see how changes will impact Operations.
  • Run metrics around forecast accuracy and works to improve the process of forecast and demand review and creation
  • Work with the Master Schedulers and Supply Chain Managers to understand and implement the demand at the production level to assure supply is available when needed
  • Manage customer planning programs with Sales and Customer Service.
Your Credentials:
  • A bachelor’s degree or 7 years of experience any combination of scheduling, inventory control, production, and manufacturing
  • Proficient in Excel, ERP systems (preferably SAP), and forecasting tools
  • Able to create forecasts based on various models and calculations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain Operations and Demand Management in a manufacturing environment

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 with bonus potential.
