Job Summary :
As a Final Inspector, you will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards, contributing to the safety and reliability of aerospace innovations. Your expertise will be key in maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting our mission to push the boundaries of aerospace technology.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of completed parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards prior to shipment.
- Utilize precision measurement tools and equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances. (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Review and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Identify and document non-conformances, discrepancies, and defects, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain thorough inspection records, logs, and reports for traceability and audit purposes.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality management systems during inspection processes.
- Train and mentor junior inspectors on quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to aerospace inspections.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
-Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards and regulations, including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using inspection software and data entry systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, if necessary.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in aerospace or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace inspection or quality assurance.
