Guest Experience Leader 

Location/Campus – Chapel in the Woods 

Do you have the gifts of hospitality and service? Do you enjoy leading and encouraging others? Guest Experience ministry will provide structure and leadership to ensure that everyone entering the Chapel in the Woods is made to feel welcomed, valued, loved, and served while in attendance. This responsibility begins from the time someone enters into the parking lot until they leave the parking lot and is carried out in a way that supports the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Establish the tone and provide the leadership to volunteers in order to welcome everyone onto the campus.
  • Recruit volunteers and provide leadership, training and coordination for the following teams: 
  • Parking
  • Greeters
  • Welcome Center/Connection Center
  • Communion Preparation
  • Ushers
  • Communion Servers/Offering Collectors
  • Building Hosts
  • Section Hosts
  • First Step Room
  • Sanctuary materials replenishment/refreshing
  • Prepare sanctuary for weekend services (i.e., replace bibles, pens, offering envelopes, etc.).
  • Ensure the collection of offering follows all procedures set in place by the Accounting and Security ministries.
  • Daily interaction and effective communication with staff, members, visitors, volunteers and community.
  • Whisper’s Women’s Tuesday Bible study
  • Quarterly staff Meet and Greet new members
  • Follow up weekend connections cards 
  • Prayer team oversight
  • Care team oversight (collaborate with campus pastor regarding pastoral care concerns during the week.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.

Our Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, guest services and/or creating welcoming environments within the church or corporate setting.
  • Leads by example fulfilling the staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship, and giving.
  • Engaged, or willing to become, member of Southeast Christian Church.
  • A commitment to live out our seven staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun 
  • Agree with the *Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and live out our church Mantras in tangible ways.
