Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician, Production Floor is responsible for supporting pharmacy operations through the accurate fulfillment, preparation, and packaging of prescription orders. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this role helps ensure medications are processed efficiently, inventory is maintained accurately, and production workflows operate smoothly to support timely patient service.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Prescription Fulfillment & Production Support
  • Accurately fill prescription orders that are not processed through automated dispensing systems.
  • Prepare prescription orders for shipment by packaging medications with appropriate documentation and materials.
  • Pack prescription shipments in envelopes, boxes, or temperature-controlled containers, including coolers with ice when required.
  • Assist pharmacists and pharmacy operations teams in meeting production and quality standards.
Inventory & Medication Management
  • Assist with replenishment and ongoing maintenance of automated dispensing equipment.
  • Receive and organize inventory by placing purchase order shipments into designated storage locations.
  • Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
  • Assist with identifying and removing expired medications for return through approved reverse distribution processes.
Operational Excellence & Quality
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations throughout the production floor.
  • Follow established pharmacy procedures, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Support efficient workflow management while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations.
