WHITE HORSE GOLF CLUB
Pro Shop Attendant
General Position Summary:
Assists with the daily operations of the golf course to include tracking course play, protecting and controlling facility assets, assisting with merchandises and inventory. Assists with tournaments and lessons as necessary. Using a point-of sale system, completes monetary transactions.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
  • Assists costumers with selections of merchandise while providing Spectacular Customer Service
  • Receives and handles sales transactions, operate cash register and credit card machine according to procedures
  • Demonstrates an interest in golf and possesses the ability to interact with guests in a knowledgeable manner
  • Prepares cash deposit envelope at end of day
  • Creates and arrange displays as directed
  • Restocks merchandise
  • Enter data required for record keeping
  • Assist or perform monthly inventory

Secondary Functions:
  • Completes all paperwork and forms in a timely manner
  • Makes recommendations to management regarding potential merchandise based on guest requests and inquires
  • Assists with the successful execution of golf tournaments, as necessary
  • Maintains a nest and organized area at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Computer knowledge necessary particularly Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of cost control and inventory
  • Good organizational skills, problem-solving and customer service

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Two or more years of retail clerk experience desired.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions may include working in an office setting with a computer, telephone, fax and other equipment. Conditions may include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends and holidays. Working on sales floor with customers and staff.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up 75 lbs. While standing, twisting or bending. Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time. Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers, adding machine and routine paperwork.
