Specializing in building envelope systems, we are expanding our territory and delivering a wide range of diverse projects. The Director of Estimating will assign you various projects, for which you will, under their supervision, analyze drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine costs and prepare bids. They will be your support throughout your professional journey, helping you develop your skills and grow within the company.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work assigned to you;
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate labour costs;
  • Request pricing from suppliers for products specified in project specifications;
  • Evaluate potential equivalent products and submit equivalency requests to the architect or client;
  • Participate in bid closing with the team;
  • Prepare proposals according to the specified format;
  • Submit bids to clients within required deadlines.

Requirements

  • DEC in Estimation Technology or any equivalent training;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry;
  • Experience in exterior cladding (major asset);
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and prepare cost estimates;
  • Good understanding of construction processes;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365;
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam (asset).
