Job Title: Production Level II   |   Req ID: 17633   |   HR Contact: Tyler Stegall   |   Location: Building Envelope - Ludlow, MA

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Production Level II team member, you will build and shape metal products used in commercial roofing systems. In this hands-on role, you will work independently on standard manufacturing machines, ensure products meet top quality standards, and help guide newer team members on basic tools and safety practices. It's a great opportunity to expand your hands-on manufacturing skills in a supportive, safety-focused team environment.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Build Quality Metal Products: Safely fabricate sheet metal parts according to technical specifications and product guidelines.
  • Operate Standard Machinery: Independently operate at least 8 key production tools and machines (such as metal shears, notchers, punches, brakes, welders, and shipping/receiving equipment).
  • Track Daily Production: Log finished work, job details, and quality check data using digital tablets and standard quality control tracking forms.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate a forklift to move materials and finished products around the facility as needed.
  • Set Up Custom Jobs: Program equipment (such as brakes) to create custom metal shapes and cut raw materials cleanly to avoid waste.
  • Support Inventory Control: Keep raw materials organized, assist with regular inventory counts, and accurately record materials used.
  • Work as a Team: Partner with coworkers daily to package, ship, and complete production orders on time, stepping in to support other departments when needed.
  • Help Guide Teammates: Share your knowledge by helping train newer team members on proper machine operations and production techniques.
  • Prioritize Safety: Follow all safety guidelines, keep work areas clean and secure, and actively promote a safe working culture for everyone.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High school education or equivalent professional experience
  • Required Work Experience: Minimum 12 months of related manufacturing/machine operation experience
  • Required Training/Certifications: Forklift Operation Certification (or ability to operate without assistance)
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge for the accurate use of Windows

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficient technical machine operator skills, strong basic mathematical skills, and the ability to read tape measures, protractors, and calipers (manual and electronic).
  • Ability to interpret basic drawings and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, multi-tasking, dexterity, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Motivated, team-oriented work ethic with proactive safety habits and a strong detail orientation.
  • Physical ability to work continuous periods of standing, perform physical labor in warm environments, and lift/handle required material weights.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
