Be an integral part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products.

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking's (CCB) API Marketplace, you will play a key role in an agile team dedicated to building, enhancing, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges across multiple technologies and applications, driving significant business impact through your contributions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide regular technical guidance and direction to business partners, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and respect within the team.
  • Influence peers and stakeholders to adopt innovative, leading-edge technologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more technical domains, contributing to firmwide frameworks and best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
  • Drive decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, actively participating in code reviews to promote growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Rapidly iterate on design and implementation, even in the face of ambiguous requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
  • Advanced skills in one or more programming languages, including Java 8+ for distributed application development, REST, microservices, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications (e.g., AWS, GCP, private cloud).
  • Familiarity with modern SDLC practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment.
  • Experience with design systems and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, Context API).
  • Experience with build automation tools such as Maven.
  • Experience configuring Continuous Integration pipelines in Jenkins.
  • Experience with frameworks like React Query.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools.
