Job Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying product conformance to design and quality requirements within an aviation or aircraft maintenance environment. This role supports inspection, auditing, surveillance, and monitoring activities while ensuring non-conforming materials and processes are properly documented and controlled.
Responsibilities
Verify product conformance to engineering and design requirements
Provide objective evidence of inspection and verification results
Perform quality audits, surveillance, and monitoring activities
Identify, document, and track discrepancies using non-conformance systems
Segregate and control non-conforming materials and components
Review rework dispositions and support corrective actions
Assist with product and process verification reviews alongside internal customers
Support quality assurance and compliance activities within aircraft maintenance and production environments
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
High School diploma or GED
Aviation or aircraft mechanic experience
Inspection experience within aviation, aerospace, or maintenance environments
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and inspection requirements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience in aircraft quality inspection or maintenance operations
Familiarity with non-conformance reporting systems
Knowledge of aviation quality and safety standards
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education & Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and related aviation or inspection experience.
