Job description

Summary of the Position

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for maintaining product quality. This role preforms tests and inspects products, processes, and procedures at various stages of production process to compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Primary Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Support in-process inspection of all products.
  2. Accurately record test data, using Epicor, Microsoft Office, and other computer programs.
  3. Communicate and coordinate findings with Quality Management and Quality Engineering.
  4. Understand customer expectations of and needs from all products.
  5. Prepare data for further analysis, as needed.
  6. Attend Meetings on factory floor.

Required Qualifications

  1. 2-year Technical Degree
  2. Metrology Skills-Use gauges, micrometers and other tooling to check accuracy on parts and assemblies to blueprint specifications.
  3. Computer Skills- should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn and master the Quality and Production software used at Potter.
  4. Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  5. Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  6. Mathematical Skills- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week, with the possibility of required overtime.
