Due to growth, it has created a need for a 1st Shift Quality Control Technician at our manufacturing facility in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This role will have responsibility for product quality to ensure that product meets or exceeds customer requirements and specifications.The position comes with a competitive hourly wage, full comprehensive benefits program, 401(k) retirement program + match, paid time off and holiday pay. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily in-process inspections, pH and density analysis, environmental swabbing.
  • Perform monthly walk-through audits.
  • Collaborates with team members and other departments to ensure process consistency and that the required standards are met.
  • Acts as the back up to the other QC Technicians and the Lead QC Technician during absences to ensure the integrity of the SQF system.
  • Responsible for adhering food safety, cGMPs, employee safety, quality standards, sanitary practices, and customer specifications.
  • Report any food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate Degree in Science desired or minimum of 2 years in a food/health related laboratory/QC environment.
  • Exposure to FDA, ISO, cGMP manufacturing/laboratory environment.
  • The ability to use and read hand gauges such as ruler, caliper, and micrometer.
  • Experience with pH meters, specific gravity, moisture analyzer, and bench top titrations.
  • Microbiological analysis including environmental monitoring.
  • Good computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence others.
  • Exposure to cGMP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S is desirable.
