Introduction:

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this full-time Quality Inspector I position. This position is a direct hire opportunity, which will be on-site in Orlando, FL.

Quality Control Inspector I Summary:
The Quality Inspector 1 - Quality Control Inspector performs a variety of routine inspection procedures to ensure quality at various stages of production. Inspects incoming materials, in-process and/or finished parts and subassemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards.

Quality Control Inspector I Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performing inspections, including Incoming/Pre-production, In-process, Final Inspection and Pre-Ship Inspection.
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies in accordance with engineered drawings.
  • Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, thread & pin gauges, no-go gauges, height, and angle gauges to verify mechanical part compliance. Measures dimensions such as length, height, and distance between reference points to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Compile data and documents findings and provide information regarding rework/reject data to more experienced personnel for validation.
  • Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Must be familiar with data entry and proficient with Microsoft Office and be able to complete all documentation for receiving inspections.
  • Completes work in a timely manner, and work efficiently.
  • Must be able to complete training to achieve proficiency in use of Optical Metrology Systems, XRF measuring instruments, and associated modules within client's ERP system.
  • Must be able to view ITAR data without a license.

Quality Control Inspector I Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Proficient Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel software skills.
  • Attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001 preferred
  • Knowledge of GD&T desired
Education, Experience and Training:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years of applicable experience is desired
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in Quality Control Inspection of electronic devices is desirable.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment is desired.
