Job description

As a Quality Inspector, you'll play an important role in ensuring incoming materials, purchased products, and customer returns meet Inpro's quality standards. You'll perform visual and dimensional inspections, document results, identify nonconforming products, and work closely with teams across the organization to resolve quality concerns.
This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing inspection experience who is detail-oriented, comfortable reading blueprints, and enjoys hands-on quality work.
Hours and Location
  • Inpro World Headquarters, Muskego, WI
  • 1st shift, Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:00pm
What You'll Do
  • Inspect incoming materials and products according to established Quality Control Plans and work instructions.
  • Use variable and attribute measuring instruments and inspection techniques to verify products meet specifications.
  • Identify nonconforming materials and initiate Material Reject Records when necessary.
  • Accept, reject, hold, or pull products based on quality requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to incoming Quality Control Plans based on product history and inspection findings.
  • Prepare rejected products for return to suppliers as needed.
  • Process customer product returns, including receiving, counting, cleaning, inspecting, and repackaging products when applicable.
  • Inspect returned products to help verify customer quality claims, including evaluating appearance and damage.
  • Document inspection findings and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate teams.
  • Pull and inspect inventory when quality issues arise and work with appropriate team members to determine next steps.
  • Complete required transactions and documentation in NetSuite.
  • Maintain accurate quality and inspection records.
  • Maintain and continuously improve 6S standards within the receiving inspection and returns areas.
  • Support additional quality initiatives, projects, and plant objectives as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing basic product or quality inspections.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects or inconsistencies.
  • Ability to follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely use applicable inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Above-average Munsell Hue Test classification, per procedure, when responsible for determining visual color acceptance.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with NetSuite or another ERP system is a plus.
Who You'll Work With
You'll work closely with Production, Distribution, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Quality to help ensure products meet Inpro's standards.
This position receives day-to-day work direction and process guidance from the Quality Assurance Team Lead and reports to the Director of Quality, EHS & Customer Service.
Your Impact
In this role, you'll have the authority to:
  • Accept or reject products based on established quality requirements.
  • Pull or place inventory on hold for further evaluation or disposition.
  • Stop an operation when an unsafe condition is identified in accordance with Inpro's safety standards.
  • Report non-compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
