Quality Control Technician — Sanozen
Vancouver, WA | Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. | 100% On-Site

About Us

At Sanozen, we manufacture high-quality nutritional supplements with a focus on health, wellness, and human connection. We believe in teamwork, personal engagement, and doing things the right way — and if you're motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with purpose-driven people, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Control Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, performing inspection functions throughout the manufacturing process in accordance with cGMP requirements and Sanozen's internal standards.

You'll also be expected to promote our Company values in everything you do: Create Customers for Life, Take Purposeful Action, Embrace Sudden Change, Collaborative Effort, Never Settle, and Be You.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting and releasing rooms, equipment, and tools for manufacturing use
  • Conducting sanitation verifications, including ATP and organic testing
  • Performing in-process checks for production and packaging (physical defects, weight, bulk density, disintegration, and friability)
  • Completing weight checks and dose weight analysis reports on finished goods at critical phases
  • Conducting daily scale and balance verification checks
  • Reviewing batch records across all manufacturing phases for quality and procedural compliance
  • Following good documentation practices throughout manufacturing
  • Conducting QC AQL inspections on final dosage forms and finished goods
  • Maintaining material, WIP, and finished goods status through physical and electronic batch approval, quarantine, conditional, or rejected status
  • Performing routine internal GMP audits and supporting broader quality systems audits
  • Monitoring the accuracy of instrumentation used in product quality analyses
  • Collecting product samples for retention and testing
  • Investigating in-process issues, and communicating concerns to Quality Management promptly
  • Monitoring temperature/humidity recordings and investigating out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Collecting routine water, environmental, and cleaning validation samples
  • Creating, reviewing, and revising controlled documents (SOPs, records, logs, work instructions)
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including CAPAs, KPI tracking, and departmental goals
  • Supporting customer and third-party audits as needed
  • Cross-training with our Quality Control Microbiologist
  • Performing raw material sampling upon receipt
  • Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required; science coursework preferred
  • Science-related BS degree highly preferred (Biology, Food Science, or similar)
  • 2+ years of inspection experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • 1–2 years of experience with an ERP system (we recently implemented BatchMaster)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliable, punctual, and ethical

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is a fast-paced production environment involving light to moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs. There may be exposure to dust, powders, and food allergens, and PPE (masks, gloves, hearing protection) is required.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • A collaborative, wellness-focused culture where your work directly supports people's health
  • Company-paid premiums for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and AD&D
  • 401(k) with 100% vesting and up to a 4% match
  • $150 annual shoe allowance
  • Free 24-Hour Fitness membership
  • 172 hours (4.3 weeks) of front-loaded PTO annually
  • 8 paid holidays, 1 floating holiday, and 1 birthday holiday
  • Quarterly bonus program
