Job description

Join the Drug Plastics and Glass family as our Quality Control Manager! This is a salaried position with a Monday thru Friday schedule. The Quality Control Manager supervises and provides support for Quality Inspectors in the performance of their duties, and assures our products meet the quality standards defined by the Customer and/or Drug Plastics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Associate or bachelor's degree preferably with a major in math or science or equivalent experience in managing a Quality Department.
  2. Previous supervisory experience, at least 3 years preferred
  3. Apply math and science skills and perform basic statistical calculations.
  4. Microsoft Suite proficient

Some Responsibilities Include: 

  1. Supervise all Quality Inspectors to insure that all quality and production standards are maintained.
  2. Interface with customers regarding audits, complaints, specifications and certificates of compliance.
  3. Prepare 100% inspection report and light transmission tests.
  4. Review Daily Inspection Reports, Electronic Process Journals (EPJ), and production schedules.
  5. Attend Priority Meetings prior to and after the shift change to discuss schedule changes, “down” equipment, quality issues and other miscellaneous items.
  6. Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for all manufacturing orders including Product Quality Standards, Quality Cards, Labels, Manufacturing Orders, Product Drawings, Bottle Inspection Reports, etc.
  7. Administer the training program for all Quality Inspectors and back-ups.
  8. Perform internal plant audits and assist in correcting any deficiencies.
  9. Jointly conduct root cause analysis and Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions (CAPAs) for all customer complaints.  Prepare customer complaint response letters as appropriate.
