Job description


The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring all incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet company and industry quality standards and specifications. The inspector performs visual and dimensional inspections, documents findings, and communicates with production teams to address non-conformance issues.
Requirements
  • Inspections and testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and completed products. This includes visual checks as well as dimensional measurements using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure that parts and assemblies meet design requirements.
  • Documentation and reporting: Accurately complete inspection reports, logs, and other documentation. Record and report any defects, deviations, or non-conforming products to supervisors.
  • Equipment maintenance: Maintain and calibrate inspection and measurement equipment to ensure accurate and reliable readings. Call for repairs as needed.
  • Non-conformance management: Segregate and document non-conforming materials. Assist in investigating the root cause of quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with production teams, engineers, and management to address and resolve quality-related problems.
