Position : Lab Technologist (Must Meet Minimum Lab Experience Requirement)

Location : Sparks, MD

Duration : 12 Months

Total Hours/week : 40.00

Job Description:

Job Overview

  • Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products.
  • Operates production equipment. Weighs, measures, and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
  • Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization.
  • Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with scientific operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment.
  • Weighs, measures, and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
  • Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
  • Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids.
  • Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications
  • Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures
  • Provides support to the lead/supervisor when necessary
  • Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Must follow all client housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Must follow all client safety policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work overtime as required to meet client business requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • High School degree required with 2 years relevant experience in a regulated environment required. Will consider associate degree with a scientific degree and no experience.

Basic Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Strong time management skills required
  • Ability to operate independently

Proficient/Working Skills:

  • Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required
