Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under supervision, intern-level employee assists the Cardiac ECHO technician team with day-to-day operational duties and responsibilities, including performing testing, restocking supplies, cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining lab equipment. Provides administrative support, including review of patient medical history, documentation of previous test results, and providing essential overview to technicians.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Assisting technicians with the administration of ECHO testing Replenishing exam room supplies and assisting with closing duties Analysis of patient medical history and providing an overview to the technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and looking to fulfill internship requirements for completion.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrate general knowledge and technical skills required to perform cardiac echo examinations as an entry-level cardiac sonographer.

  • Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of cardiac sonography to pursue registry status through The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers upon completion of the program.

  • Understand the importance of lifelong continuing education in Cardiac Sonography.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA):

  • Basic understanding of Cardiac medical terminology and sonography

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required

Compensation Range:

$17.55- $24.52

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
