Job Description:
Location: This position requires the candidate to work onsite in Renton, WA, with some hybrid flexibility.

Overview
We're looking for a technical writer with a policy focus to help govern the use of AI across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of AI, data platform, and governance - translating emerging standards like MCP and agentic AI policy into clear, actionable guidance for development teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Write and maintain enterprise AI usage policy, in close collaboration with the data platform team
  • Develop policy specific to government use cases involving AI
  • Translate MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agentic AI policy into practical, actionable guidance
  • Support change management efforts as new policies and guardrails roll out
  • Define and document risk levels, embedding guardrails directly into development workflows
  • Ensure engineering and product practices trace back to and remain compliant with formal policy
What We're Looking For
  • Strong technical writing skills, with experience turning complex technical concepts into clear policy documentation
  • Familiarity with AI governance, risk classification, or compliance frameworks
  • Experience with change management in a technical or enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of Claude and hands-on use of it as part of the role
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with data platform, engineering, and legal/compliance stakeholders

Pay Range: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour, depending on experience.
