Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking driven sales professionals with prior sales or insurance-related experience who are ready to grow a long-term career in insurance.

Compensation:

$125,000+ at plan commission


Responsibilities:
  • Present customized insurance solutions and educate customers on available coverage options
  • Participate in training and licensing (if not currently licensed)
  • Manage policy renewals and customer follow-ups
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs, goals, and evolving life situations
  • Provide personalized insurance and financial solutions to help clients protect their assets and plan for the future
  • Prospect and develop new business through networking, referrals, community involvement, and proactive outreach
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and deliver clear, value-focused recommendations across a broad product portfolio (Home, Auto, Life, Retirement, and more)
  • Educate clients on coverage options, risk management, and financial planning strategies to support confident decision-making
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, servicing existing policies, and proactively identifying coverage gaps
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and regulatory requirements to ensure knowledgeable and compliant guidance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and take advantage of training, coaching, and support resources to continuously improve performance
  • Set and achieve sales and service goals, tracking progress and adjusting strategies to drive consistent growth
  • Represent Farm Bureau Financial Services in the community, strengthening brand presence and building trust through local engagement

Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet goals and grow professionally
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, insurance, or a related client-focused field
  • Willingness to obtain required insurance licenses (if not currently licensed)
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated success in sales, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals
  • Strong relationship‑building skills, with the ability to establish trust and long‑term client loyalty
  • Experience managing business operations, including budgeting, planning, and recruitment initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex insurance and financial concepts
  • Self‑motivated and independent, with the initiative to prospect, market, and grow a client base
  • Experience in the financial services or insurance industry preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and technology tools to maintain accurate client and business records is an asset
  • Ag-related experience a plus!
