Business Analyst

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented entry-Level Business Analyst to join our domestic freight operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to build a rewarding career in global logistics. No prior freight forwarding experience is required — we will train you. What we're looking for is a sharp analytical mind, intellectual curiosity, and the drive to make complex supply chains run smarter.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze shipment data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities across ground freight lanes.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give operations leaders clear visibility into KPIs such as freight cost allocation and lane segment usage.
  • Monitor pricing and shipping costs and identify areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements
  • Assist in evaluating vendor and carrier contracts by modeling rate scenarios and benchmarking against market data.
  • Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Regularly prepare and present reports on data findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from operations, sales, and finance teams.
  • Trach and analyze carrier performance, identify problem areas promptly, and surface strategies to improve business outcomes.
  • Learn freight forwarding fundamentals – including customs regulations, Incoterms, and global trade compliance – through structured on-the-job training.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field; or equivalent work experience with exposure to data analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large data sets; proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • High attention to detail and a structured, organized approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Genuine curiosity to learn and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Familiarity with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) concepts and transaction sets is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $21.57 - $23.57 per hour

Starting pay is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
