Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Entry Level Geologist to join our team! In this role you will gain hands-on field experience and training in environmental characterization and remediation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform various field and office tasks requiring the application of basic scientific principles and fundamental theories.
  • Complete field work efforts for environmental investigations, including overseeing drilling, conducting low flow groundwater monitoring, push-ahead groundwater sampling, surface water and sediment sample collection, and soil sample collection.
  • Assist and perform basic geologic, hydrogeologic, and hydrochemistry tasks including preparation of cross sections and compilation of environmental sample analyses.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field
  • 0+ years of related work experience
  • Interest and enthusiasm to travel and complete field work Willingness to travel to project sites and perform field work up to 60% of time.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
  • A valid driver's license, the ability and willingness to travel to and from field locations up to 60% of the time.
  • Should be able-bodied as the work requires some physical exertion such as extended periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; lifting; recurring bending or similar activities.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (e.g., hot, cold, rain, snow).
