Junior Business Process Analyst Program Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution Technical Refresh (NMMES-TR) Customer Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Location Norfolk, VA. Clearance Secret Clearance (active, interim, or eligible to obtain) Program Background The Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) is a comprehensive Information Technology (IT) toolset supporting NAVSEA's ship maintenance, overhaul, repair, and modernization operations across the U.S. Navy fleet. NMMES includes approximately 79 IT systems, applications, networks, and data centers serving over 51,000 users worldwide across Navy Shipyards, Intermediate Maintenance Facilities, Regional Maintenance Centers, Ship Repair Facilities, and Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Centers. The NMMES Technical Refresh (NMMES-TR) program supports modernization and optimization of these systems through improved business processes, automation, and enterprise IT solutions. Position Summary The Junior Business Process Analyst supports the analysis, documentation, and improvement of organizational processes that support Navy maintenance and IT operations. This role assists senior analysts and program leadership with process documentation, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and performance measurement activities. The Junior Business Process Analyst works with stakeholders to understand operational needs, identify inefficiencies, and help implement improvements to business workflows, procedures, and documentation. This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in business analysis, organizational improvement, and enterprise IT programs. Key Responsibilities Business Process Analysis · Assist in analyzing current business processes, workflows, and operational procedures · Support documentation of existing processes using process maps, workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) · Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce redundancies, and enhance service delivery · Assist with requirements gathering and documentation from stakeholders and system users · Participate in workshops and working sessions to understand operational challenges Process Documentation and Modeling · Develop and maintain process documentation including flowcharts, diagrams, and written procedures · Support creation of process maps using tools such as Visio or BPMN · Assist with documenting system workflows and business rules · Maintain documentation repositories and ensure materials remain current and accurate Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring · Assist with collecting and analyzing operational data to identify trends or inefficiencies · Support development of performance metrics and dashboards · Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program operations and service delivery · Prepare reports and summaries for leadership and stakeholders Organizational and Operational Support · Assist in evaluating organizational processes and workload distribution · Support analysis of workforce utilization and operational efficiency · Help document recommendations for improving procedures and business workflows · Participate in improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts Stakeholder Engagement and Communication · Work with program managers, engineers, developers, and operational personnel to gather information · Assist with preparing presentations, briefings, and reports for stakeholders · Support communication of process improvements and operational updates · Participate in meetings, workshops, and process review sessions Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in one of the following fields: · Software Development · Engineering · Computer Science or related discipline
