Job description

About the Role

At Equitable, we help clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives- a mission we've honed since 1859.

Invest In YOUR Potential! Equitable is seeking a driven, curious, and relationshipfocused Wealth Planning Associate to launch a longterm career in financial services. This is a structured, immersive development opportunity designed for individuals who want to build deep financial expertise, gain real client exposure, and learn directly from some of the most successful Financial Professionals in the industry.

Through a combination of licensing, handson client engagement, mentorship, and realworld experience, you will develop the technical skills, confidence, and business acumen required to succeed in a dynamic, clientcentric financial services environment. This role is more than an entrylevel position-it is a career accelerator! You will gain exposure, mentorship, and real responsibility early in your career, positioning you for longterm success as a Financial Professional within Equitable.

What You'll Be Doing

Build a Strong Foundation (Training & Licensing)

  • Obtain your core financial services licenses, including Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health

  • Learn the philosophy and approach behind Equitable's comprehensive financial planning process

  • Develop a strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and wealthbuilding solutions

  • Gain the skills needed to effectively engage clients and communicate complex financial concepts clearly

Apply Your Skills with Real Clients (Learning & Development)

  • Join the Branch Assist team, where you will work directly with existing Equitable clients

  • Help clients position and optimize their current investments to support longterm financial goals

  • Partner with clients as their needs evolve-supporting planning for life events, transitions, and new financial priorities

  • Build confidence through handson experience in a collaborative, teambased environment

Learn from the Best (Partnership & Mentorship)

  • Spend up to two years working closely with 10-20 successful Financial Professionals

  • Support advisors by engaging with their clients and helping drive business efficiency and growth

  • Collaborate directly with clients to help them advance toward their financial objectives

  • Gain an inside view of what it takes to build, manage, and sustain a successful financial practice

Expand Your Professional Skill Set (Additional Training)

  • Receive targeted training in critical businessbuilding skills, including:

  • Client prospecting and relationship development

  • Conducting effective facetoface client meetings

  • Developing and delivering client seminars

  • Understanding and managing business expenses and operations

This position offers a flexible work schedule: it may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near one of our offices (e.g., Salt Lake City, UT; Syracuse, NY), a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.

The base salary for this position is $52,500. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

For eligible employees, Equitable provides a full range of benefits. This includes medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off. For detailed descriptions of these benefits, please reference the link below.
